Help to choose the right course
Our vision for Sixth Form is to develop our students holistically, to enable them to succeed both academically and in developing the skills and qualities needed when they leave.
- We believe in creating resilient, empathetic, passionate young people who are valued within their community.
- We believe that students should have no ceiling to their aspirations, and we will strive to help them to achieve these aspirations.
We offer a wide range of academic A-level subjects and have recently introduced select vocational BTEC qualifications, allowing students to combine subjects which will provide them with the best opportunity for success.
All individual A-Levels and Vocational Qualifications are 4-5 hours per week. As a result, all Sixth Fform students study a minimum of 12 hours per week with some accessing more hours depending on their individual circumstance.
Our ASPIRE programme aims to provide students with appropriate career advice and guidance, support students with their health and wellbeing and develop skills needed for the future, such as financial advice, leadership and living independently.
“The curriculum enriches students’ personal development. They take part in work placements, business breakfasts and work with refugees. They also gain leadership responsibilities in teaching and supporting younger pupils. Students receive effective careers guidance. This enables them to progress to higher education and employment.” Ofsted March 2020
