My North East Choices

Following on from the Careers and Enterprise Company’s national My Choices event in August 2020, they have been busy developing a local version of this event that is targeted at young people, as well as their parents/carers, who are currently in Year 11 and above and who are considering their next steps. There are two events planned:

  1. Tuesday 24 November (4-5pm) – for those young people currently in Year 11
  2. Thursday 26 November (4-5pm) – for those young people currently in Years 12-14

Both events are being hosted on the Learn Live online platform here.
The broadcasts will focus on the full range of options that young people have at the different stages of their education, employment or training including A levels, T levels, Vocational Qualifications, Apprenticeships, Traineeships, Degree Apprenticeships/School Leaver Programmes as well as Employment and Entrepreneurship - with details of opportunities from local providers/employers, as well as the views of young people.

It will also provide details of where individuals can find out more information, including through a Live Chat function (with a panel of experts) that will be available during the live events.

To register, which is free, you need to go to
