  • Another Fabulous Book Fair!

    Another Fabulous Book Fair!

    Many thanks to students, parents/carers and staff for making the Academy's recent half price Scholastic Book Fair such a success. Over the past year your support has allowed the Academy to earn over £600 of rewards to spend on brilliant new books for our students to enjoy. Congratulations must go to Jake, Daniel, Charlotte D, Charlotte W, Jessica and Sam who each won a £5 voucher to spend at the fair with their entries to the 'Travel Challenge' competition. The next Scholastic Book Fair will take place between the 30th April and 4th May next year. Read More

  • Year 9 Netball Tournament Success

    The Consett Academy Netball squad were out again in full force at the Derwentside and Chester-le-Street Netball Tournament, with Consett fielding an A, B and C team. Some exceptional performances from all teams, but a particular congratulations must go to our A Team who won the whole tournament. Congratulations girls!! Read More

  • Euroscola Competition

    We are delighted to announce that six year 12 students have won an all expenses paid trip to Strasbourg funded by the EU. They took part in competition where they had to produce a news bulletin which represented different opinions around the freedom of movement of UK citizens post-Brexit. The visit will take place in March with filming of the bulletin in January. Read More
