Crafternoon

Crafternoon in aid of MIND

Wednesday 10th July 2019

This Wednesday, 10th July, the LRC is hosting a Crafternoon in aid of the mental health charity, Mind. Students (and staff) are encouraged to come along, make a donation, and have a go at some paper crafts, therapeutic colouring, knitting and more in the LRC during lunch time or after school between 3-4pm.

According to major new research by Mind three in five young people (59 per cent) have either experienced a mental health problem themselves, or are close to someone who has - this shows the sheer scale of the pressures faced by young people.

Mental health information for young people is available for free from Mind’s website (www.mind.org.uk/youngpeople).

Mind is inviting young people from England and Wales to share their views and help better understand the barriers they face to accessing support and what some potential solutions might be. Anyone interested in taking part should visit mind.org.uk/cypsurvey.
