World Book Day 2019 - Thursday 7th March

World Book Day 2019 - Thursday 7th March

The Academy will be celebrating World Book Day with a range of activities and competitions.

The LRC will be running a Book Scavenger Hunt, in which students will have to try and find out about the reading recommendations and habits of the Academy's staff members.

The LRC will also be launching its Reading Revolution: 500 Book Challenge. Students and staff will be challenged to borrow and read 500 books from the library before the summer holiday starts! Students will be able to add a special book spine to a display overlooking the Atrium to mark each completed book. Participating students will be in with a chance of winning prizes for accompanying activities such as 'best book review' or 'best bookmark' along the way. There will also be spot prizes to those students who complete the 10th/50th/100th spine etc.

World Book Day tokens will also be available from Monday 25th February on a first come, first served basis from the LRC. The tokens can be exchanged for one the special £1 World Book Day books or to get £1 off any book or audiobook priced at £2.99 or more.
