As part of our IAG support all students will have the opportunity to participate in the Newcastle Partnership Scheme and/or the Durham Supported Progression.

Newcastle Partnership Scheme - Consett Academy is proud to be part of the Newcastle University Partners Scheme which enables our students to benefit from a number of opportunities such as the ‘On Course to Uni’ site, access to the Library resources at Newcastle University, Shadowing Opportunities and support during the application process.  As well as these opportunities, student who are eligible can consider the following routes when applying to Newcastle University:

Guaranteed Offer

Receive a guaranteed offer to Newcastle University through the Guaranteed Offer Scheme. This scheme is only available to students in  PARTNERS schools and colleges and encourages you to achieve your potential in exams by giving you (if eligible) a guaranteed conditional offer, at the typical entrance requirement level for the degree programme(s) you have applied for. Once you have received an offer, it's up to you to work hard and get the grades!

The PARTNERS Programme Supported Entry Route

The PARTNERS Programme Supported Entry Route could enable you to receive a special conditional offer from the University that's lower than the typical offer for the degree programme(s) you have applied for. The offer is slightly lower as you also have to complete and pass an Assessed Summer School.

The Programme aims to support and encourage eligible students who have the potential to succeed at Newcastle University. It supports you through the application process, on results day and, if you wish, after you enter the University.

To apply for a financial bursary please apply on enrolment.  Application form and criteria as opposite.
