Changes to our Uniform Ordering Process

Following a number of educational and operational reviews we are introducing a Direct To Parent (DTP) uniform purchasing scheme in partnership with our current uniform supplier, Sportswear International (SWI).  Unlike many other schools in our area we have avoided taking this route but we now feel that the time is right for us to promote and invest the gain time in other areas.  This online system will be effective from 15th June 2017 and will give parents/carers more control over the uniform ordering/delivery process.  Please note that the following items will not be available to order online until 14th July; Boys Jacket CADA111504 (size 33”), Girls Jacket CADA111506 (size 30”), Girls Fitness Leggings AAAA111888 (all sizes)

SWI are one of the UK's leading suppliers of schoolwear, who deliver a premium quality personalised clothing through a DTP route to over one hundred and sixty schools and colleges across the country. They have well embedded online processing systems that will ensure swift and trouble free delivery turnarounds with excellent customer service provision.  Standard delivery turnaround is 48 hours from placing the order.

What will this mean for parents:-

All orders will need to be placed directly online with SWI www.swidtp.co.uk.  Deliveries direct to the Academy are free of charge and will typically be made once per week during term time. If you choose to deliver to the Academy, you will see our Academy delivery information on the delivery page during checkout. Home deliveries are charged at £4 for all orders under £70. Orders over £70 are free. When you log in to your SWI account, you will be able to see which items of school uniform are compulsory or optional.

From 7th June Consett Academy will:-

  • no longer accept uniform orders

  • continue to provide sample sizes of all uniform items

  • continue to sell pre worn uniform items and half cost price

  • continue to accept pre worn uniform items

  • continue to sell ties (for the remainder of this academic year)

Please see SWI’s Frequently Asked Questions Page  and SWI Direct to Parent Guide that is designed to help you through the process.
